To build a center where children of disadvantaged communities get
experiential learning in an open environment with life skills and
students-centric pedagogies that make them confident and future-ready.
We envision a world where children belonging to disadvantaged communities have access to quality education, free from labor exploitation, and crime.
We believe in a democratic learning ecosystem where children have freedom to learn by exploring themselves. Through this, children can achieve creativeness and innovation, not only in learning but also in society. We creates a system where self-expression and freedom are promoted.
Swapnisthan (Place of Dreams) is an alternative learning center that offers an open learning space for children from socially disadvantaged communities. We envision a world where these children have access to quality education. We follow a need-based curriculum tailored to address the specific needs of our children. This flexible curriculum allows students to focus on subjects and skills that align with their interests, strengths, and weaknesses.
For example, children interested in complex mathematical concepts receive more in-depth instruction, while others may focus on agricultural concepts. We also provide diverse learning materials, such as charts, pictures, videos, audio stories, textbooks, and board or spinner games, to suit different learning styles.
Learners are categorized into five learning phases: Jal: Water (Age 5-7), Vaayu: Air (Age 8-9), Akash: Sky (Age 10-12), Prithvi: Earth (Age 13-14), Agni: Fire (Age 15-16), each tailored to their developmental stage. For example, younger children learn through play and physical activities, while older learners engage in debates, stage performances, and specialized exposure visits.
Happiness is key to getting a child engaged in learning. It is also helpful for building pressure-free eco-system where employees and other staff are joyful.
Innovativeness is needed to solve complex issues in the community. It helps children to become confident and self-reliant.
Inclusivity is a must to include parents, educators, and other members of society to build a need-based education system.
Freedom is fundamental for everyone within the organization. It creates an avenue for expression and choices based on individual interests and capacity.
Integrity is the higher level of commitment where every action will be taken considering the vision and goal of the organization.
